Chennai: An inspector, who was named in a suicide note left behind by a law student who killed herself on Tuesday, was placed under suspension by Kerala government after increasing protest by Opposition and the public. A law student allegedly killed herself claiming domestic violence and dowry harassment and named the police inspector for demoralising her.
According to a report on Manorama, the Aluva Station House Officer and Circle Inspector CL Sudheer was suspended as a disciplinary action over his conduct with the law student and her father.
The victim's husband and his parents were also arrested by Ernakulam police.

The 21-year-old woman killed herself leaving behind a suicide note blaming her husband, in-laws and the cop for her extreme decision. The law student also alleged that CL Sudheer misbehaved with her when she went to the police station to lodge a complaint against her husband and in-laws.
Meanwhile, her father, talking to Manorama said that he went to the police station along with his daughter on Monday. However, even after his daughter made it clear that she does not want to give her statement in front of her husband, the cop questioned her in the presence of her spouse and also spoke inappropriately to her. Following this, the father said, the woman got dejected and took the extreme step.
Another teacher from Kollam also came forward with a complaint against inspector Sudheer for insulting and verbally abusing her when she went to the police station to register a complaint.
