Former Karnataka CM and BJP MP Basavaraj Bommai made serious accusations against Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah and implicated his brother-in-law in the alleged 'Mysuru Urban Development Authority (MUDA) conspiracy'. Bommai claimed that Siddaramaiah had acquired land in a questionable manner knowing that he would receive alternate land in a prime area of the city after compensation was provided. He further accused Siddaramaiah's brother-in-law of orchestrating the conspiracy.
On private complaint filed in court against Karnataka CM over MUDA ‘scam’, former Karnataka CM and BJP MP Basavaraj Bommai said, "The way he has acquired land after the compensation has been given. He knew that he would get alternate land in the centre of the city. His brother-in-law brought it and he conspired. All these aspects are coming out and people are filing cases in court"
Private Complaint Against Siddaramaiah
A private complaint was recently filed against Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah in the Special Court for Elected Representatives in Bengaluru recently. The complaint, lodged by Mysuru-based activist Snehamai Krishna, alleged Siddaramaiah's involvement in a site allotment 'scam' related to the MUDA. The complainant has accused the Chief Minister of misusing his powers and has requested an investigation by the CBI or another independent agency.
Siddaramaiah, however, dismissed the allegations, stating that he has the strength to respond to what he described as "false complaints." He emphasized that "false cases can't stand before the law".
