Two Suspects Held With Arms By Security Forces In Jammu-Kashmir’s Bandipora, Probe Underway

During a joint operation in Bandipora, the Indian Army apprehended two suspects with weapons, including pistols, hand grenades, and ammunition.

The Indian Army said on Thursday that two suspected individuals were held with arms and ammunition in the Bandipora district of north Kashmir. In a post on X, the army said that a joint search operation was launched on March 12 based on the specific intelligence input and the Gandbal-Hajin Road in Bandipora. 

“On 12 Mar 2025, based on specific intelligence input, a Joint Search Operation was launched by #IndianArmy, @JmuKmrPolice and @crpf_srinagar at Gandbal-Hajin Road, Bandipora,” Army posted on X.

“During search, two suspected individuals have been apprehended alongwith recovery of 01xPistol, 01xPistol Magazine, 02xHand Grenades, 01xAK Magazine, ammunition & other war like stores,” the army further added.

The Indian Army has also mentioned that further investigation by the police is in progress.

IAF Conduct Synergised Exercise In Jammu

The Indian Air Force conducted a synergised interoperability exercise on Jammu, reports news agency PTI quoting defence spokesman on Wednesday. The exercise was aimed at strengthening coordination between ground and air forces, ensuring seamless integration of aerial and land-based operations in dynamic battlefield scenarios, the spokesman further added.

By refining joint operational tactics, he said, this exercise reinforced the ability of both forces to respond swiftly and effectively to real-time challenges, particularly in high-threat environments.

Under the aegis of Tiger Division, the exercise simulated real-world operational conditions, with IAF helicopters executing a precise airlift of Army troops from a designated mounting base.

The troops were then inserted into terrain characterised by dense vegetation and thick undergrowth, the spokesman said, adding this complex insertion manoeuvre tested the forces’ ability to operate cohesively in challenging environments, where mobility and coordination are crucial for mission success.

Following the insertion, the troops executed a simulated combat assault, engaging in coordinated manoeuvres designed to neutralise threats in a high-risk environment.
