Hathras stampede news: Baba Surajpal, also known as 'Bhole Baba', has said that he was grieving the lives lost in the Hathras stampede incident. Bhole Baba said that people should have faith in the administration. No miscreant will be spared. Bhole Baba said that he was praying to God to give people the strength to overcome this hour of grief.


This is Bhole Baba's statement first statement after the stampede during the satsang [congregation] in Hathras. 


In an interview with news agency ANI Bhole Baba said: "I am very sad after the incident of July 2. May God give us the strength to bear this pain. People should keep faith in the government and administration. I am confident that no person spreading the chaos will be spared." He further said: "Through my lawyer AP Singh, I have requested the members of the committee to stand with the bereaved families and the injured and help them throughout their lives." As many as 123 people were killed in the Hathras stampede.






Baba further said, "Everyone is also fulfilling their responsibility. Everyone should not leave the support of Mahamant. In the present times, he is the medium who wishes for everyone to attain salvation and good sense." Police have been looking for Bhole Baba since the Hathras incident. It is believed that he may also approach the police soon. Baba also has a huge ashram in Mainpuri, UP.


Hathras Stampede Incident Main Accused Surrenders


Devprakash Madhukar, the main accused in the Hathras stampede case, surrendered in Delhi on Friday evening and is in police custody now. An FIR was registered against Devprakash Madhukar, who was the main sevadar in the stampede during the satsang in Fullerai village of Hathras. After the incident, the UP police announced a reward of Rs 1 lakh to anyone who helped in the arrest of Devprakash Madhukar. So far, six people have been arrested in this case.
