Haryana Assembly Election Result 2024: The final results of the Haryana elections are due in less than 24 hours and the Congress is buoyant over the exit poll indicators. Amid all the seats contested by Congress candidates in Haryana, the Julana Assembly constituency is of particular interest.
One of the reasons, why this constituency has emerged as a hot seat is the fact Congress has fielded Olympian Vinesh Phogat and the Aam Aadmi Party fielded WWE player Kavita Dalal. The other reason is that Congress has won the seat only four times in its electoral history, and the last two times were in 2005 and 2000.
Journalists, who are familiar with the ground situation, estimate that the Congress will win this seat. This means that Congress candidate and Olympic wrestler Vinesh Phogat could win here.
The Julana Assembly seat is in the Jind district. There are five assembly seats in Jind district are Julana, Safidon, Jind, Uchana Kalan and Narwana. According to journalists, there is a close contest in Uchana Kalan and Narwana. While Congress can win the remaining three seats.
Who Are The Candidates From Julana?
On the Julana seat, the Aam Aadmi Party bet on Kavita Dalal, a former wrestler in WWE, popularly known as 'Lady Khali', against Congress candidate Vinesh Phogat. On the other hand, BJP had fielded former Captain Yogesh Bairagi and JJP fielded its current MLA Amarjeet Singh Dhanda from this seat.
According to the figures released by the Election Commission on Sunday, the overall voting percentage in Haryana was 67.9 and Julana recorded a turnout of 74.66%. The highest voting of over 80% took place in the Ellenabad Assembly seat of Sirsa district in the state. Voting for the 90-member state assembly was held on Saturday, 5 October.
