The Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Tuesday conducted raids at several companies, factories and other spots related to Rajasthan Minister Rajendra Yadav. Minister of State for Home Rajendra Yadav is a close aide of CM Ashok Gehlot and this comes days after a similar kind of Income Tax raid. ED conducted raids in Kotputli, the constituency of Yadav, Jaipur and Behror in connection with alleged mid-day meal scam, reported ANI citing sources.

Reports suggested that the Income Tax Department teams had found cash and jewellery during a raid at Rajendra Yadav's ancestral house and factory in Kichha.

It was said that the Income Tax Department's action was taken on complaints related to irregularities in funding and supply of mid-day meals. More than 20 officers and employees of the I-T were part of the team that carried out the raid.

Meanwhile, in view of security, a large number of police personnel have been deployed at the house and factories of Rajendra Yadav. It is believed that the information about the raids will be revealed after the completion of the searches being done on the companies linked to the minister.

Rajasthan CM Gehlot had recently said that the BJP is using the central agencies to scare the opposition leaders as polls are due in the state later this year. Several opposition leaders have been alleging the action by the probe agencies as a deliberate step on the part of the Centre. Wheres, on the other hand, the BJP has countered the Congress government in the state over the issue of corruption citing the 'Red Diary' which allegedly has the details of said corruption and transactions done by the Gehlot government.
