Amid Union Minister Giriraj Singh's claim that Congress MP Rahul Gandhi was bringing inauspiciousness to the I.N.D.I. Alliance leading to its breakup wherever he goes, Congress leader V. Hanumantha Rao defended Rahul Gandhi. Rao attributed alliance issues to internal problems among regional leaders. Further, he expressed confidence in Rahul Gandhi's leadership anticipating electoral success for the Congress.

Earlier, Union Minister Giriraj Singh said, "Rahul Gandhi has been proven to be inauspicious for the I.N.D.I. Alliance. The alliance is breaking everywhere he goes."

Responding to the statement, Congress leader V. Hanumantha Rao on Wednesday predicted a majority win for Rahul Gandhi in the elections, envisioning him as the future Prime Minister with the continued backing of the alliance. Rao said, "Rahul Gandhi's image will improve in the public. Due to some inside problems, the regional leaders have parted ways from the alliance. When the Congress will win the elections under Rahul Gandhi's leadership, the alliance will be there with him. Their only aim is to defeat Narendra Modi and the NDA government."

"Why are you creating problems for him everywhere? This is undemocratic. In the Bharat Jodo Yatra from Kanyakumari to Kashmir, people from all walks of life were with him. Definitely, Rahul Gandhi will get a majority in the elections and he will become Prime Minister," he said.
