4 people lost their lives and 22 were left injured in a collision between a truck and a private bus on the Pune–Bengaluru Highway near the Narhe area of Pune city in Maharashtra at around 3 am on Sunday. The injured are being treated at a nearby hospital, reported news agency ANI. According to sources close to ABP Live, Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader Supriya Sule reached the spot of the incident. 


While talking to ANI she said, "The incident is very unfortunate. After coming here, the police informed me that the incident took place due to brake failure. We will wait for the investigation. Police and administration did a good job and admitted the injured to the hospital."






The bus having the number plate 'MH 03 CP 4409' belonged to the Nita Travels company and was traveling from Kolhapur to Dombivali meanwhile the the truck's number plate read 'MH 10 CR 1224' and was carrying sacks of sugar. 


Another accident was reported on Saturday night on the Pune-Bengaluru Highway near the Swami Narayan Mandir of the Narhe area in which two trucks and a private bus collided. The incident claimed the lives of 3 people including the truck driver and left 18 injured. Pune and PMRDA's fire department officials rescued those 18 people from the collided vehicles. They are currently being treated at a nearby hospital.

How Did The Accident Happen?


The accident took place when a truck hit a private travel bus from behind. The accident took place near the Swami Narayan temple in the Narhe Ambegaon area around midnight while this bus was going from Satara to Mumbai. Preliminary information has come out that the accident took place when the driver lost control of the truck. It is learned that the truck driver also died in this accident.
