A seven-year-old boy was killed in a collision between a car and a motorcycle at a road intersection in Noida on Monday, police officials told news agency PTI. The minor was on the motorcycle with his father when it was hit by the car at the Indus Valley intersection in Sector 62. 


The child was rushed to a nearby hospital where he succumbed to his injuries during treatment, PTI reported a police spokesperson as saying. He was a resident of Chhijarsi village in Noida.


The driver of the car was detained, and the vehicle was impounded by the police. Further legal proceedings were underway, the spokesperson confirmed.


Gautam Buddh Nagar, which comprises Noida and Greater Noida cities, witnessed 1,176 road accidents in 2023 that resulted in the death of 470 people and injuries to 858 people. The district had recorded 437 such deaths and injuries to 856 people in 2022, according to official data, reported PTI. 


Collision Of Motorcycles Kills 3


In another incident, three individuals died when two motorcycles collided head-on, a woman and a child were also injured in the Islamnagar police station area in Budaun, Uttar Pradesh.

The accident occurred near Chicheta village on Bisauli road, detailed Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) Rammohan Singh.


According to PTI, the police said one motorcycle, carrying Sanju (31) and Ajay (35), collided with another bike transporting Pramod, his wife Geeta, and their one-and-a-half-year-old granddaughter Ashi. Those who died were Sanju, Ajay and Pramod whereas Geeta and Ashi received serious injuries. 


Upon receiving information about the accident, a police team reached the spot, they took them all to the primary health centre, where doctors declared Sanju, Ajay and Pramod dead, ASP Singh said reported PTI.


Two are undergoing treatment for their injuries, while the bodies of the deceased have been sent for post-mortem.
