Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) national President JP Nadda is in poll-bound Madhya Pradesh and has launched an attack on Congress leader Rahul Gandhi for giving casteist slurs saying 'Chor'.
"Congress is doing 'Satyagrah'. They give casteist slurs saying 'Chor'. Court asked you (Rahul Gandhi) to apologise but there's so much arrogance you don't apologise, membership goes, you're sentenced (to jail) but 'Rassi Jal Gayi, Bal Nahi Gaya'," said Nadda while addressing the welcome ceremony by BJP Karyakartas in Bhopal.
BJP Will Win Over 200 Seats: Nadda
Meanwhile, Nadda said on Sunday that his party would win over 200 of the 230 Assembly seats in Madhya Pradesh, where elections are scheduled to take place at the end of the year.
He has arrived in the capital of the state to lay the groundwork for a BJP office.
He stated, "the warm welcome accorded to me by the spirited BJP cadre shows we are going to more than 200 Assembly seats in MP," quoted PTI.
In Madhya Pradesh, the 2018 elections resulted in a hung Assembly. The BJP won 109 seats and the Congress won 114 of the 230 seats, making it the largest party.
However, compared to the Congress's 40.89 percent, the BJP received 41.02 percent of the vote.
Under Kamal Nath, the Congress formed a government that was overthrown in March 2020 by MLAs who were loyal to Jyotiraditya Scindia. This made it possible for Shivraj Singh Chouhan to return to his position as chief minister.
Nadda with his wife Mallika, CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan with wife Sadhna and BJP MP President VD Sharma alongside his significant other, performed customs.
According to Nadda, the new office will be able to accommodate one thousand people. There will be four conference rooms with all the latest conveniences.
Nadda will then speak to Booth Presidents at Motilal Nehru Stadium.
Along with CM Chouhan and Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia, Nadda also participated in PM Modi's "Mann ki Baat" in the morning. "I am sure BJP will win 200 of 230 seats in upcoming MP Assembly election," he stated while addressing the BJP workers.
