'Our Doors Are...': BJP After JD-U Leader KC Tyagi's 'No Enemies In Politics' Comment

JDU leader KC Tyagi had called the talks of his party joining the NDA a "propaganda by their old friend (referring to the BJP)".

Union Minister and Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) MP Giriraj Singh has said that the doors of his party are closed for Janta Dal-United (JDU) after the latter said there are no enemies in politics. Responding to the query of any possibility of JDU joining the NDA coalition again, Singh said it is not going to happen. He said CM Nitish Kumar's party will face a "complete eclipse" in the new year.

"We are neither happy nor sad. What do we have to do...In the new year, there's a complete eclipse on JD(U)...Our gates are closed (for Nitish Kumar if he wants to join NDA)," Singh said.

Earlier, JDU leader KC Tyagi had called the talks of his party joining the NDA a "propaganda by their old friend (referring to the BJP)". He said there are no enemies in politics and there are only differences of opinion. 

"This is propaganda by the party who was our friend. There is no enemy in politics. Differences of opinion and ideological differences are there..." Tyagi told reporters.

This comes as Bihar CM Nitish Kumar takes reign of his party after Lalan Singh resigned hinting towards a possible rift within the JDU and a possible return of the party to NDA.

According to PTI, Lalan Singh stepped down at the closed-door meeting and proposed Kumar's name, saying his leadership will be needed at this crucial juncture in the run up to the 2024 Lok Sabha polls while he will be busy fighting his own election. He currently represents the Munger constituency in Lok Sabha.
