Tej Pratap Yadav, the minister of the forest and the environment, has filed an FIR against folk artists from Vrindavan on charges that they stole expensive items worth Rs 5 lakh from his official residence at 3 Strand Road in Patna during the Holi festival, reported news agency ANI.

He asserted that artists Deepak Kumar and five others are among the accused.

Yadav's aide Misaal Sinha filed an FIR at the Sachivalaya police headquarters on March 10 asserting that artists who were called to perform during Holi at the minister's home did the burglary on March 9 preceding they left for Vrindavan.

Misaal stated in the FIR that Tej Pratap inquired about the possibility of theft at his residence and even raised the issue with the folk artists.

Although the police acknowledged receiving the complaint, they did not provide any specifics regarding the stolen items. Police from the secretariate police station went to Tej Pratap Yadav's house at 3 Strand Road in Patna after the FIR was filed.

Sachivalaya police headquarters in-control Bhagirath Prasad has asserted that an FIR has been enlisted by Tej Pratap's aide yet there were no insights about the things that were taken by the folk artists from Vrindavan.

Tej Pratap Yadav celebrated Holi at his Patna home in the Vrindavan style. From March 5 to March 8, 2023, he hosted a grand Ras Leela. Vrindavan-based artists were invited for this. Tej Pratap Yadav shared this data in a tweet that he posted on fourth Walk 2023.
