New Delhi: The political temperature in Bihar is surging after Chief Minister Nitish Kumar switched alliances once again to tie up with the BJP months ahead of the Lok Sabha election 2024. RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav hit out at Nitish for severing ties and said, "He was a tired CM. Khel abhi shuru huai, khel abhi baki hain. (The game has just begun and it remains to unfold) I can give you in writing that the JDU party will be finished in 2024. The public is with us", reported ANI.

Tejashwi went on saying, "When Nitish Kumar was with us, he used to say that so much work is being done. Have you ever seen Nitish Kumar distributing appointment letters before? It was us who made him distribute appointment letters, and later the central government also followed us. We extend our congratulations to the BJP."

Tejashwi also stressed that despite JD(U) going back to the NDA, the I.N.D.I.A. bloc remains strong. "Jo hota hai ache ke liye hota hai (Whatever happens, happens for good)..." he remarked.

Notably, Tej Pratap Yadav, the elder son of RJD supremo Lalu Prasad also joined the wagon and took a dig at Nitish, he said, "Nitish Kumar should be honoured with 'Girgit' (Chameleon) Ratna award for frequently changing his political loyalty".

Taking to social media, Tej Pratap Yadav posted in hindi on X, "Chameleon is infamous for changing their skin ...Paltis Kumar should also be honoured with Chameleon Ratna award for frequently changing his political loyalty…for his speed of colour change.

“गिरगिट” तो बस यूँ ही बदनाम है..! रंग बदलने की रफ़्तार से तो पलटिस कुमार को भी “गिरगिट रत्न“ से सम्मानित करना चाहिए।

Nitish Kumar, known to switch sides at the drop of a hat, once again came into the BJP fold as part of the NDA.
