'Nitish Kumar Wants Ghazwa-e-Hind': Giriraj Singh Opposes 'Islamic Questions' In Class-9 Sanskrit Exam Paper

Union Minister Giriraj Singh has alleged that Bihar CM Nitish Kumar wants 'Ghazwa-e-Hindi', after questions on Islam were asked in a class 9 paper of Sanskrit.

Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and Union Minister and BJP MP Giriraj Singh are face-to-face over a list of questions in class 9 exam paper in Sanskrit. The minister raised objections over questions related to Islam in the Sanskrit exam paper for class 9. He said that CM Nitish is doing "Islamisation" of Sanskrit and it seems "we are in Pakistan or Bangladesh". Singh said Kumar wants to establish "Ghazwa-e-Hind".

"Nitish ji is doing Islamisation of Sanskrit. It appears that we are not in India but in Pakistan or Bangladesh. They want to establish Gazw-e-Hind,"  the minister said. 

Earlier, Singh took to X, formerly Twitter, and shared the photos of the question paper and marked a total of ten questions in the paper that were related to Islam.

 

The questions that were asked in the paper are as follows: 

1. What is Iftar?

2. At what time is the fast broken, and after seeing what is it broken?

3. What is called Fitra?

4. What dishes are prepared on Eid?

5. What kind of festival is Eid?

6. What is Zakat called?

7. Which is the best festival of Muslims?

8. Which dish is famous in Eid?

9. What happens in Eid?

10. What message does the festival of Eid give?

BJP MLA from Munger, Pranav Kumar has said that efforts are being made to spoil the atmosphere of the state. He said such questions should not be asked in the Sanskrit exam and that he would raise this issue in the upcoming winter session of the Assembly, reported The Lallantop.

Meanwhile, JDU District President Nachiketa Mandal asked if essays on Dussehra are not written in English papers. He asked why Sanskrit is considered only a symbol of Hindu religion instead of a language, the report added.
