New Delhi: Congress leaders Ashok Gehlot and Sachin Pilot addressed a joint press conference on Tuesday, days after Gehlot called Pilot "gaddar" six times during the conversation while referring to his rebellion in 2020 that brought the Rajasthan government to the brink of collapse.
"Rahul Gandhi has said that Ashok Gehlot and Sachin Pilot are assets to the party," said Rajasthan CM Gehlot at Jaipur.
“This is the beauty of our party that after our top leader says anything, there is no scope (for further argument),” Gehlot told reporters.
The Bharat Jodo Yatra will cover a distance of 380 km in the Malwa-Nimar region of western Madhya Pradesh in 12 days after which it will enter Rajasthan on December 4, according to the Party’s schedule. The foot march entered Madhya Pradesh on November 23 at Bodarli village in Burhanpur district from neighbouring Maharashtra.
“Bharat Jodo Yatra with Rahul Gandhi will be welcomed with maximum enthusiasm and energy in Rajasthan. The yatra will spend 12 days in the state. It will be a historic yatra with participation of all sections of people,” Pilot said in Jaipur.
KC Venugopal, the general secretary of the Congress committee (organisation), was also there and said that Rahul Gandhi has made it clear that Sachin Pilot and Ashok Gehlot are assets to the party.
“We are united. Here Ashok Ji and Sachin Pilot Ji have said that the Congress party in Rajasthan is united. Rahul Gandhi has clearly stated that both Ashok Gehlot and Sachin Pilot are assets to the party,” Venugopal said.
