Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Thursday asked the Congress party to learn about "development" from PM Narendra Modi and Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar. He said that PM Mod's leadership at the Centre and Khattar in the state have left no stone unturned to "India and the State forward". He was speaking at Antyodaya Mahasammelan in Karnal on the occasion of nine years of BJP government in Haryana. CM Khattar also took a jibe at the opposition and said that the "game of castes" is destroying the country.

"Narendra Modi Government at the Centre and Manohar Lal Khattar Government in the State - both these BJP Governments have left no stone unturned to take India and the State forward...I would like to tell Congress today, if you want to understand how development is done, they can do so by going through the pages of the works done by PM Modi and CM Khattar," the Union Minister said.

He also accused Congress of "halting" the Ram Temple construction for "years after independence". " People of the country had been waiting, demanding and praying for years that Ram Lalla get His grand temple...Congress party halted Ram Temple (construction) for years after independence. People elected PM Modi for the second time and PM Modi," he said.

"He performed its bhumi pujan and on 22nd January 2024,  he will also perform its pranpratishtha. I urge all of you to avail this Tirth Yojana and go for the darshan of Ram Lalla," Shah said while speaking about the state government's one of the five new public welfare schemes -- Mukhyamantri Tirth Yatra Yojana.

Meanwhile, Khattar slammed the opposition parties saying that before the BJP government in the state, there was "hopelessness and depression". He said the caste politics was destroying the faith in the democracy.

"Nine years ago, if we look at the previous governments and the environment that was there, there was hopelessness and depression. Only a few people used to get benefits. The middlemen used to be involved. Caste and community were at the forefront. But today, we have transformed all of that... But they are still doing caste politics," he said.

"All parties are in the show-off of deputy CMs. They announce multiple deputy CMs from various castes... The game of castes is destroying the faith in democracy... The PM has called the nation to revive the situation. Let them run the politics of caste... We will also run on caste politics, but we have identified two castes, the 'rich' and the 'poor' uniting the society with one thread..." Khattar added.
