Three people died after a car hit a divider and caught fire in Rajasthan's Ajmer. The aftermath of the incident was caught on camera and news agency PTI shared the visual from the site that showed the car set ablaze.






In another case today, at least four men lost their lives and two sustained injuries after a speeding truck rammed into a roadside eatery on the Etawah-Kanpur National Highway in Uttar Pradesh. District Magistrate Avnish Kumar, Senior Superintendent of Police Santosh Kumar and other senior officers visited the site of the incident in order to oversee relief and rescue operations, as reported by PTI.


The accident took place at around 10:30 pm on Saturday in the Ikdil area of Etawah district, said SSP Kumar. He said that a truck was coming from Kanpur and being driven at a high speed in the service lane. The driver lost control of the wheels and crashed into the eatery.


The deceased were identified as Suraj (32 years old) and Talib (30 years old), both residents of the Ikdil area, Sanjay Kumar (35 years old) of Agra and eatery owner Kuldeep Kumar (35 years old). All four were crushed under the wheels of the truck, reported PTI.

The injured were identified as Saurabh Kumar, a resident of Nagla Khangar in Firozabad and Rahul Kumar of Ikdil. Officials added that both injured have been admitted to the district hospital for treatment.


Earlier last week, eight people including a minor were charred to death after a car-dumper collision on the Bareilly-Nainital Highway in Uttar Pradesh. Eyewitnesses told news agency ANI that the car had a tyre burst after which it collided with the dumper which was coming from Uttarakhand.
