New Delhi: In a tragic incident reported from Maharashtra, an 11-year-old boy died in Pune after a ball hit his private part while playing cricket with friends. 


The incident was captured on CCTV, showing Shaurya collapsing immediately after being hit. His friends rushed to his aid and attempted to revive him, but he was later pronounced dead upon arrival at a nearby private hospital.


Shaurya was bowling when the batsman hit the ball directly towards him. The ball, with force, struck Shaurya on his private parts, and soon he collapsed on the ground, the video showed. The incident has led to a case of accidental death being registered, as per a report of India Today.


Notably, Shaurya was a student of New English School Ramanbaug in city in 6th standard, as per Free Press Journal.

Earlier this year, in a tragic incident, a 52-year-old businessman from Bhayandar died while playing cricket on a field at Matunga on Jan 10. The police said the deceased, identified as Jayesh Chunnilal Savla, participated in a cricket tournament during which a ball hit him in the head and he fell unconscious, as per ET.


As per reports, following the unfortunate event, Mumbai police filed an accidental death report and conducted an autopsy to ascertain that there was no deliberate harm involved.


The untimely demise of the 11-year-old boy from Pune, who was declared "brought dead" after a tragic incident involving a cricket ball, has left the community in mourning. Identified as Savla, he was actively engaged in the Kutchi Community's cricket tournament for veterans at the Dadar Union Sporting Club when the unfortunate event occurred.


Subsequently, Savla, who collapsed on the field upon impact, was urgently taken to Sion Hospital.
