'This Is Pakistan's Language': BJP Hits Out Farooq Abdullah's 'Pak Chudiyan Pehne Hue Nahi Hai' Remark

Farooq Abdullah, while reacting to Rajnath Singh's remark on Sunday said, Pakistan is not wearing bangles and it had "atom bombs that would fall on us".

The BJP on Monday hit out at Jammu and Kashmir National Conference (NC) leader Farooq Abdullah's 'Pakistan Chudiyan Pehne Hue Nahi Hai' remark by saying that Pakistani extremist leaders used to say they have an atom bomb, but now a senior leader of I.N.D.I.A alliance has said the same.

Hitting out at Abdullah's statement, BJP MP and party's spokesperson Sudhanshu Trivedi said, "Till now, some extremist leaders of Pakistan said it sometimes that they have an atom bomb... But today, a senior and forefront leader of the INDI alliance, Farooq Abdulla, has said the same."

The BJP leader quoted the remarks of opposition leaders to attack the Congress saying that they are speaking "Pakistan's language". 

"Congress leader Vijay Wadettiwar gave moral cover fire to Pakistan for 26/11... Former Punjab CM Charanjit Singh Channi's statement on Poonch tries to hide Pakistan's misdeeds... Shashi Tharoor wrote an article in a Bangladeshi daily... He writes that Modi has to go and he refers to Kashmir as Indian Administered Kashmir. This is Pakistan's language," the BJP leader said.

Farooq Abdullah, while reacting to Rajnath Singh's remark on Sunday said, Pakistan is not wearing bangles and it had "atom bombs that would fall on us".

"If the defence minister is saying it, then go ahead. Who are we to stop? But remember, they (Pakistan) are also not wearing bangles. It has atom bombs, and unfortunately, that atom bomb will fall on us," Farooq Abdullah said, according to ANI.

Rajnath Singh had said India will never give up its claim on Pakistan-Occupied-Kashmir (PoK) but it won’t have to capture it with force because its people would want to be part of India on their own after seeing the development in Kashmir.

"The way the ground situation has changed in Jammu and Kashmir, the way the region is witnessing economic progress and the way peace has returned there, I think demands will emerge from people of PoK that they should merge with India," the Union Minister told PTI in an exclusive interview.

"We will not have to use force to take PoK as people would say that we must be merged with India. Such demands are now coming," he said. 

Rajnath Singh also asserted that that PoK was, is, and will remain part of India.
