Bangladesh cricket team are currently touring Zimbabwe to play the only Test match against the hosts in Harare. Batting first, Bangladesh scored 294 runs for the loss of 8 wickets on Day 1 of the Test.
Zimbabwe hoped that the visiting team would lose the remaining 2 wickets on the second day but this did not happen and the tail-enders Taskin Ahmed (75 0ff 134 balls) and Mahmudullah batted strongly to stitch a solid 191-run partnership and remain not out even in the second session of Day 2.
When Bangladesh were 270/7, Liton Das returned back to the pavilion and it seemed that the visiting team's innings was about to get over but No 10. Taskin Ahmed has some other plans and he kept on frustrating the Zimbabwe bowlers.
Taskin Ahmed and Blessing Muzarabani were involved in a heated on-field exchange during the match. Zimbabwean speedster Muzarabani seemed highly unimpressed with Taskin's dance moves after he played a stroke. The speedster walked up to Taskin and pressed his head up against his helmet grille. The video of this incident has gone viral on social media.
Bangladesh have consolidated their position in the match till the end of the second day's play. Bangladesh scored 468 runs in the first innings thanks to a record partnership of 191 runs for the 9th wicket between Mahmudullah and Taskin Ahmed.
In reply, Zimbabwe scored 114 runs for the loss of one wicket at Stumps on Day 2. Mahmudullah played an unbeaten innings of 150 runs, attaining the highest score of his Test career.
