New Delhi: Sparkling West Indies cricketer announced the arrival of his first daughter on Thursday (IST).

Earlier this week, Gayle left his IPL club Royal Challengers Bangalore to return to the Caribbean to be with his partner Natasha for the birth of his first child this week.

The couple named their lovely daughter "Blush".

"We would like to welcome the arrival of our beautiful daughter 'Blush' to this world 2 hours ago, Thank God" Gayle posted on Instagram standing along with Tasha.

The disappointment to his fans was that he didn’t post the picture of the child which was hugely expected.

But his newborn daughter 'Blush' has a reference to the controversy that shot up after he hit on sports reporter Mel McLaughlin during a live TV interview at the Big Bash League game in Hobart.

“I wanted to come and have an interview with you as well," he said. “That’s the reason why I’m here, just to see your eyes for the first time. It’s nice so ... “Hopefully we can win this game and have a drink after. Don’t blush baby,” that were his remarks that made the female reporter uncomfortable.

The flamboyant player later apologised but was fined 10k for his comments.
