NEW DELHI: Defending champion Novak Djokovic defeated 23rd seed R. Bautista Agut in the first men's singles semifinals at the Centre Court to sail into the finals of 2019 Wimbledon Championships. The Serbian tennis ace took four sets to beat his Spaniard opponent with the scoreline reading 6-2, 4-6, 6-3 and 6-2


Djokovic had earlier beaten Belgium's David Goffin in straight sets in the quarterfinals to make it to the last four of the men's singles draw.

The Serbian tennis ace has been in phenomenal form at the Grand Slam notching up straight set wins over Philip Kohlschreiber,
Denis  Kudla and  U Humbert in the earlier rounds of the grand slam.

Djokovic now awaits the winner of the second men's singles semifinal between eight time champion Roger Federer and two-time winner Rafael Nadal.

With his win over Bautista, Djokovic made it to his sixth Wimbledon final in a glittering tennis career.
The Serbian tennis star who has won Wimbledon four times (2011, 2014,2015 and 2018) is bidding to add a fifth title to his kitty. Djokovic is third on the all time list of grand slam winners (men's singles) with 15 titles.
