Joan Laporta, the president of FC Barcelona has denied any possibility of a return of Lionel Messi back to the club in an interview with the RAC 1 radio station. He cleared his and the club's position on Messi's future at FC Barcelona and other transfer rumours.

“I’ve received no message from Messi or his agents over a possibility of returning back to Barça. The reality is that we’re not considering this possibility - this deal is not in our plans," Laporta told RAC 1.

Argentina's legend - Lionel Messi left his boyhood club, FC Barcelona last year. Last week, multiple reports suggested Messi could make a potential return to FC Barcelona, but Joan Laporta has put a full stop to these claims. The contract with PSG is said to be for two years till 2024, with an option to extend.

He also gave a clear indication that the club is not interested in Haaland or Mbappe. “Haaland or Mbappé to Barça? The conditions I've been told about these two deals... we'd never accept to spend those figures. I see both of them really far from joining Barça," he said.

“We've completed two signings for the next season: one is a midfielder, the other one is a centre-back. But I'm not allowed to mention their names, I’m so sorry”.

Franck Kessié and Andreas Christensen's deals are fully agreed and expected to be announced in the coming weeks, reported Fabrizio Romano.

Mohammed Salah To Barcelona? 'I can't say'

“Lewandowski or Salah? Top players want to join Barça, that's clear. But I can't say if we're in talks for Lewandowski and Salah or not”.

“I really like Joao Felix. It's a pleasure to see him playing football. Last summer we were working to complete a swap deal with Atlético between Joao Felix and Griezmann, then it collapsed," the Barca president said.

He also cleared some air about forward Ousmane Dembele. “I really like Ousmane Dembélé, he’s amazing - we made him a proposal expired on December 20, then if he wants to stay, he has to accept our salary limits. We never know what happens with him”.
