Tennis players Paula Badosa and Stefanos Tsitsipas shared an adorable moment on the tennis court after the latter won his Wimbledon 2023 Round 1 fixture against Austria's Dominic Thiem on Wednesday. While Tsitsipas registered a win after a gruelling contest that lasted nearly four hours, Badosa was sitting among the fans to cheer for her boyfriend. Post the Greek star's 3-6, 7-6 (7-1), 6-2, 6-7 (5-7), 7-6 (10-8) win, he came to know that Paula had actually come to cheer for him after winning her own single's match.

During the on-court interview, Tsitsipas took the opportunity to congratulate his girlfriend. In sharp contrast to Tsitsipas' victory, Badosa's win was a fairly straight forward one as she won in straight sets 6-3, 6-3 over her American opponent Alison Riske.

The video of the incident was shared by Wimbledon on its official social media handle.

It is pertinent to note that Paula Badosa and Stefanos Tsitsipas will also be competing in the mixed doubles event as partners. As far as the men's singles category is concerned, Tsitsipas will be up against Andy Murray next who will not be an easy pushover. In the men's doubles he will be partnering his brother Petros.

Meanwhile, Badosa will be facing Ukraine’s Marta Kostyuk in her next match. Kostyuk too would be a stern challenge especially after the manner in which she beat Maria Sakkari in the first round. Badosa did miss the French Open owing to an injury but would be eager to stage a strong performance in the grass-court grand slam.
