Delhi Capitals and Indian cricket team's star opener Shikhar Dhawan shared a video from his official Instagram handle where he can be seen reciting a shayari of famous poet Abrar Kashif. 


Even after the suspension of IPL 2021, Dhawan, who has a huge fan following, has ensured to keep his fans entertained by showcasing his poetic and musical talents online.

On Sunday, Shikhar Dhawan posted the video with caption, "Sundays are for Shayaris! This one is one of my favorites from Abrar Kashif ji." More than 22,000 people liked the video in just over 40 minutes.






Indian cricket team is scheduled to tour Sri Lanka In July. Shikhar Dhawan will be a part of that team. India has to play limited overs cricket on the Sri Lanka tour.  According to media reports, Dhawan may be handed over the captaincy of the Indian cricket team in the series against Sri Lanka as regular skipper Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma will be busy with India's tour of England at the same time.


Shikhar Dhawan's journey in IPL 2021 was a memorable one. He held the orange cap before the tournament was postponed indefinitely. Dhawan scored 380 runs in 8 IPL matches for Delhi Capitals (DC).


The Indian team will reach Sri Lanka on July 5 to play 3 ODI and 3 T20I matches. The first ODI will be played on 13 July, second on 16 July and the third match on 19 July.  After this, the three-match T20 series will be played. All matches will be played at the Premadasa Stadium in Colombo.
