It was quite an entertaining affair for tennis fans as tennis star Novak Djokovic and Hubert Hurkacz fought it out in what was a fierce Round of 16 fixture at the Wimbledon on Monday. Even as both the tried tried to outplay each other in their bid to proceed to the next round and remain alive, in one particular moment during the tightly-contested match both the players as well as the fans were left in splits.

It happened during the second set of the four-set thriller when the Serb was eager to chase down a drop shot from his Polish tennis opponent which had bounced inside his side. As the record men's Grand Slam winner stretched to get a touch on the ball, he eventually ended up tripping and falling over the nets in a bizarre moment. However, everyone including the players and fans saw the funny side of it and shared a laugh. Djokovic did not suffer any injuries and the two players even shared a few words after the incident.

Talking about the match, which was Djokovic's 100th at the competition, the Serbian tennis star registered a 7-6 (8-6), 7-6 (8-6), 5-7, 6-4 win to proceed to keep his dream alive of extending his Grand slam record. Djokovic has thus entered the Quarter-final round of Wimbledon where he will be up against the Russian Andrey Rublev.

Much like Djokovic, Rublev too had to work hard for a place in the quarters. He in fact prevailed in a five-set thriller over Kazakhstan's Alexander Bublik. Rublev won 7-5, 6-3, 6-7 (6-8), 6-7 (5-7), 6-4, losing the two sets that went to tie breaker after winning the first two before outclassing his opponent in the final one.
