New Delhi: A crazy incident sent Nottinghamshire bowler Luke Fletcher tumbling to the turf in his side’s match against Birmingham Bears in the England T20 match on Saturday.
Fletcher was awfully struck on the head by Birmingham batsman Sam Hain’s thunderous straight drive.
The seamer than collapsed to the floor as horrified players rushed towards him and umpire summoned mediacl attention.
Both – samit Patel and Sam Hain were left in tears as they saw Fletcher receive treatment on the pitch.
The 28-year-old was rushed to Queen Elizabeth hospital. The game was abandoned for nearly 45 minutes as the incident every on the ground in state of shock.
However, he was out of danger and teammate Jake Ball posted a picture of him taking oxygen in an ambulance
