Wasim Jaffer's India playing XI vs Pakistan in Asia Cup: The day has finally arrived for cricket lovers to immerse themselves in the thrill of cricket. The battle for the prestigious Asia Cup title between the top six Asian countries including India and Pakistan starts today, with the tournament opener between Sri Lanka and Afghanistan. All 16 matches of Asia Cup 2022 will be played in Dubai and Sharjah, UAE.

Rohit Sharma-led India will face Pakistan on Sunday in Dubai. Ahead of the high-octane clash, former India Test opener Wasim Jaffer has picked his India XI for Ind vs Pak Asia Cup 2022 match. Both India and Pakistan will start their Asia Cup campaign from this match. India's eyes are set to avenge their humiliating 10-wicket defeat at the hands of Pakistan in the T20 World Cup last year.

In the India playing XI selected by Jaffer for match against Pakistan, he made only one important change, and that was in the middle order. The former cricketer has picked captain Rohit Sharma and vice-captain KL Rahul as openers while he picked Virat Kohli to bat at number three.

Jaffer picked Suryakumar Yadav, star all-rounder Hardik Pandya and Ravindra Jadeja in the middle order, while in the bowling lineup he has included Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Ravi Bishnoi, Yuzvendra Chahal, and Arshdeep Singh in his India XI. As per Jaffer's India XI for Pakistan fixture, one of the wicketkeeper-batsmen between Rishabh Pant and Dinesh Karthik will get a chance in the playing XI.  Jaffer said that if Pant plays he should bat at No. five, ahead of Hardik Pandya.
