Many people, including his Team India friends, wished him on the occasion but the best one (read witty) came from Virender Sehwag. In another example of his great sense of humour, Sehwag said Bhajji was a ‘baap’ on the field and now he is a father off the field too.
Translation of Sehwag's tweet: “Congrats @harbhajan_singh & @Geeta_Basra on becoming proud parents. Bhajji, you were a father (Baap) on the field already, now you have become a father (Papa) in your life too.”
Bhajji’s wife Geeta delivered the baby girl at a London Hospital, and both mother and daughter are said to be in a healthy physical condition.
Harbhajan is the latest India cricketer to become father to a baby girl, after Mohammed Shami, Suresh Raina, MS Dhoni.
