The Board for Control of Cricket in India (BCCI) has sent two different teams together for the first time on separate tours. One team, captained by Virat Kohli, is currently in England, where India has to play a five-match Test series from August 4 and another team, under the captaincy of senior batsman Shikhar Dhawan, is on a tour of Sri Lanka, where the limited overs series is being played.
India registered a thrilling three-wicket win in the Ind vs SL 2nd ODI at the R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo to take an unassailable 2-0 lead in the three-match ODI series against Sri Lanka, courtesy a sensational unbeaten innings of 69 from Deepk Chahar.
Virat Kohli-led side, present in England's Durham, also cheered for the side touring Sri Lanka and enjoyed watching India sealing a sensational series win, the video of which has been shared from the official Twitter handle of the BCCI.
Sharing the video, BCCI wrote, "When #TeamIndia in Durham cheered for #TeamIndia in Colombo. From dressing room, dining room and on the bus, not a moment of this memorable win was missed."
On July 20, Virat Kohli-led team India has also started playing a three-day practice match against County Select XI in England. However, Virat Kohli and Ajinkya Rahane were unable to play in this match due to injury.
