UEFA Champions League (UCL) Quarter Finals: Real Madrid vs Liverpool and Manchester City vs Dortmund were the two blockbuster matches in this week’s UCL. Madrid and City secured wins in their respective matches. Madrid by 3-1 and City by 2-1. Let’s take a look at the Madrid vs Liverpool game, first.

Real Madrid vs Liverpool: The match looked one-sided in the first half when Vinicius Jr. and Asensio scored a goal each to take Madrid 2-0 up before the end of first half. Vinicius’ goal came after a beautiful pass by Toni Kross while Asensio’s goal came due to the negligence by the Liverpool defense. Mohammed Salah scored a goal early in the second half to bring some life to the Liverpool hopes, but then Vinicius scored again to demolish any hope that Liverpool have, in the tie.

The only silver lining for Liverpool was one away goal that was scored by Salah which might turn out to be useful   later in the tie. Liverpool manager, Jurgen Klopp was not happy with Liverpool’s performance. “We just didn’t play good enough football to cause Real Madrid any problems. We made it too easy for them,” said Klopp.
