India has so far won a single medal (silver) in the first four days, which was won by Mirabai Chanu in weightlifting on the first day.  The fourth day of the Tokyo Olympics was quite disappointing for India. Manika Batra, considered a strong candidate to win a medal, crashed out in the third round of the women's singles event of table tennis.  The Indian women's hockey team had to face defeat against Germany.  India can get a medal in shooting on the fifth day.  In table tennis, Achanta Sharath Kamal will take on Ma Long of China in the third round of men's singles. The Olympic Games were postponed for a year due to the coronavirus pandemic.  But after a year, the Olympic Games are being played in the Covid 19 epidemic with a delay.
