New Delhi: Legendary Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar took to Twitter to extend birthday wishes to the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) chief Sourav Ganguly who turned 50 on Thursday. Taking to the microblogging platform, Tendulkar posted a heartwarming video for one of India's all-time greats, also revealing why he always calls Sourav 'Dadi'. Sachin and Sourav had met during a junior camp in 1980s. Years later, Sourav was made captain of the Indian cricket team across formats. 


"Kemon acho, bhalo achi (How are you? Are you doing well?) Everyone must be thinking why I call Dada, Dadi. Just to clarify, me and Sourav were 13 years old when we met in Indore camp. Ever since then I have been calling him Dadi. Already 50 my friend, how does that feel? We are following you slowly, slowly. Well, I want to take this opportunity to wish you the very best in life. Your beautiful family, Good wishes and regards to everyone," Sachin said in the video.






Sourav Ganguly celebrated his 50th birthday on Friday. Pics of Sourav's birthday celebrations with some BCCI officials including Sachin Tendulkar went viral on social media. The pics were clicked during celebrations in UK. BCCI secretary Jay Shah and BCCI vice-president Rajiv Shukla were part of Sourav's birthday celebrations.
