One of the worst nightmares, on a wedding day, is rain. After all those months of planning the last thing anybody wants to see is effort go to waste because it gets postponed or cancelled. However, this wedding party from Indore, Madhya Pradesh was determined not to let rain destroy the special day with an unconventional solution.
The video that has now been shared widely on social media shows a big group of people, taking cover under a large sheet of water-resistant material called tarpaulin while it pours down heavily. The baraatis were continuing towards their destination behind the wedding band, while some even danced despite the rain.

Twitterati had a lot to say about this particular innovation, while some called it the best jugaad, others had further suggestions.
A Twitter user wrote, "It happens only in India”. "No matter what the situation is, we will take the bride."
A user called it a “Great advertisement for that tarpaulin!” A user wrote, “Indigenous innovation (jugad) at its best when Indians are the “ Jugadists”. IPR/Patent ttoo bantta hai.”
Quoting local media reports, NDTV reported that the incident took place in the Pardesi Pura area of Indore on Tuesday. It stated that when the baraat had left, the weather was dry but it started to pour heavily midway, so the tarpaulin was ordered to cover the guests.
However, this is not the first time a tarpaulin has come in handy, in April, a baraat in Surat used it as a sunshade for the groom riding on a horse, reported India Times
