New Delhi: Indian cricket team's senior opener Shikhar Dhawan, who has parted ways with wife Aesha after eight years of marriage, finally met his son Zoravar after two years.
The star batter took to Twitter to share the video of emotional reunion with his son. It is being speculated that Dhawan wasn't able to meet his son Zoravar as latter had travelled to Australia in August 2020. Possibly Australia's strict restrictions amidst Covid-19 kept Shikhar away from his son.
"Two long years since I met my son Uske saath khelna, usko gale lagaana, baatein karna.. bohot emotional moments hain ye.. These are the moments jo humesha yaad rahenge," Dhawan wrote on Instagram.
36-year-old Shikhar Dhawan, who was last seen playing as an opener for India against West Indies in ODI series, has been spearheading his national team's batting line-up for almost 10 years now.
Dhawan in currently on a break for at least a month as he isn't part of team India's Test and T20 squad. However, he'll soon return to action in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022. The senior opener was acquired by franchise Punjab Kings (PBKS) for Rs 8.25 crore in IPL 2022 mega auction.
