One of the fastest bowlers to ever walk on this planet, Shaun Tait, nicknamed as 'The Wild Thing' for bowling lethal bowling spells to terrorize batsmen with his slingy action, has been appointed as Afghanistan's bowling coach with immediate effect, Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) on Monday confirmed. The ex-Aussie sensational speedster played in 35 One-Day Internationals, three Tests and 21 T20Is for Australian cricket team between 2005 and 2016.


Shaun, a Level-two certified coach from Cricket Australia, has been earlier associated as a bowling coach with Melbourne Renegades and before in and  in the Abu Dhabi T10 league with franchise Bangla Tigers. He has announced retirement from international cricket in 2017. 


Next month in Sri Lanka, Afghanistan cricket team a three-match ODI series against Pakistan, which will be part ODI Super League. After this in November, Afghanistan play a one-off Test against the home team, reportedly in Australia's Hobart.


Before that, Afghanistan cricket will play the T20 WC and have been included in Group 2 with two teams from the qualifying tournament, Pakistan, India, and New Zealand.
