New Delhi: Former New Zealand veteran batsman Ross Taylor made a sensational revelation in his autobiography. In a book titled "Black and White", which was released earlier this week, Taylor talks about an unpleasant incident that happened to him in the Indian Premier League (IPL). Ross revealed in his autobiography that one of the owners of Rajasthan Royals (RR) had slapped him in the face during his stint with the Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise after he was out for a duck (zero runs) in an IPL match against Punjab Kings (Kings XI Punjab). The Kiwi legend did mention he was not sure "it was entirely play-acting".
"One of the Royals owners said to me, 'Ross, we didn't pay you a million dollars to get a duck' and slapped me across the face three or four times," Taylor revealed.
"He was laughing and they weren't hard slaps but I'm not sure that it was entirely play-acting. Under the circumstances I wasn't going to make an issue of it, but I couldn't imagine it happening in many professional sporting environments," the iconic Kiwi batter wrote.
