New Delhi: The last match of the three-match One Day International series between New Zealand and the Netherlands is being played at Seddon Park in Hamilton. The ODI marks one of New Zealand's greatest cricketer Ross Taylor's last outing in the international arena. The veteran played his farewell game today.


Meanwhile, as soon as the Kiwi national anthem started ahead of the game, an emotional Ross Taylor found it hard to hold back his tears. His long-time teammate Martin Guptill was seen consoling him after the national anthem got over.


Taylor's wife Victoria and his three children Mackenzie, Jonty, and Adelaide were also present at the venue.






Ross Taylor, who holds the record for scoring the most runs for New Zealand in international cricket, scored 14 runs off 16 balls in this match and was given a guard of honour by Netherland players.


New Zealand won the toss and decided to bat first. They scored 333/8 in 50 overs. Chasing the tough target, Netherlands was bundled up for 218 runs. New Zealand has already taken an unassailable 2-0 lead by winning the first two ODIs of the three-match series.


Talking about Taylor's international career, he has played a total of 450 international games for New Zealand between 2006 and 2022 and has scored a total of 18199 runs at an average of 42.72. He has scored 40 centuries, 93 fifties in his career. The stylish batter has scored 7683 Test and 8607 One Day International runs.
