New Delhi: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman Ramiz Raja explained why he lashed out at an Indian reporter after Pakistan's loss to Sri Lanka in Asia Cup 2022 final. The incident took place when Raja was leaving Dubai international stadium following Pakistan's 23-run loss in the summit clash. Ramiz was addressing a few questions outside the stadium during which an Indian reporter asked him what message he would like to send to the people of Pakistan back home after the heartbreaking loss.

Ramiz Raja snapped at the reporter, saying, "You must be from India and will be very happy now that Pakistan has lost”.

Indian Journalist asks Ramiz: "Awam badi nakhush hai. Unke lie koi sandesh?

Ramiz Raja replied: "Dekhie aap India se honge, aapke (awam) toh bohut khush honge."

Indian Journalist says: "Hum khush nahi hai."

Ramiz Raja: "Kaunsi awam?"

Indian Journalist: "Maine dekha hai Pakistan k logo ko rote hue jate. Kya main ghalat bol raha hu Ramiz bhai?"

Ramiz Raja: "Aap awam ko generalise kar rahe hai."

After this, Ramiz even tried to snatch the journalist's phone.

Breaking his silence on the matter, Ramiz said that the reporter only wanted to provocate him by asking an inappropriate question.

Speaking on his YouTube show 'Fans Forum with Ramiz', the PCB chairman said, "Me aapko batata hu. Unke jo questions the, jo line that woh bilkul theek nehi tha. Mera yeh puchne ka point yeh tha ki woh kehe rahe the ki pure janta baari naraz he. Toh maine kaha ki aapko kaise pata he ki pure Pakistani log iss team se naraz he. Kyunki aap 2000 mil dur baithe huye he na. Yeh bhadkaane wali baatein hoti he. Point yeh he ki agar aapka dil saaf he aur ek cricket bat kar raha he toh yeh cheeze samne nehi aani chaiye. But anyway, woh ek incident tha, woh hogaya."
