Team India Coach Rahul Dravid Press Conference: The T20 series between India and New Zealand is scheduled to begin in Jaipur tomorrow (Wednesday). The other two T20 matches of the series will be played in Ranchi and Kolkata respectively. This is the first assignment for Team India's newly-appointed coach Rahul Dravid and T20I Captain Rohit Sharma. Ahead of the match, the duo took part in a press conference on Tuesday. This is said to be a new beginning for Team India, after a disappointing performance at the T20 World Cup.

During the presser, Rahul Dravid said, "We are not focusing on different teams in different formats. At the moment, we need to respect the physical and mental health of players. I want the players to stay active, and since this is a challenging time, I want to make sure the players get all the rest they need."

He added, "We won't have players who play in all formats all the time. This would be a chance for new players to display their talent. At the moment, I'm not focusing on making different teams for different formats of the game as all three formats are equally important for us. With the ICC tournament coming up, we obviously need preparation. But, as far as vision is concerned, an overall improvement is needed."

Managing workload is crucial, Dravid tells ABP News

Upon a question from ABP News on workload management, Rahul Dravid said, "Workload management would be crucial if Team India wants to succeed. Nowadays, even if you look at football teams, they all pay a lot of attention to Workload Management. We too have to give a high amount of emphasis to this."

He added, "If you see Kane Williamson, he is not only playing in the series but actively managing his team's workload. Therefore, this is not only a challenge for Team India, but also for all of the teams." The Indian team head coach said, "We need to plan well so that our players can stay fit. We need to perform well in the series, keeping in mind the long term vision of the team."
