New Delhi: India’s champion Badminton player PV Sindhu alongside Navy Chief Admiral R Hari Kumar & Vice chief Vice Admiral SN Ghormade received the Navy marathoners completing a 1500 Km run on the occasion of Navy Day.






The motive of the event was to escalate the message of physical fitness. Navy  Chief Admiral R Hari Kumar said, “Aim of program was to spread the message of physical fitness & what the Navy is all about. Events like these test physical endurance, encourage physical fitness & develop stamina. A physically fit person will naturally be able to protect the country”.


He further added,” PV Sindhu represents 'Nari Shakti' for the Navy and all elements of physical fitness important for the armed forces. We look at her as a brand ambassador for us who can encourage our personnel to do better”.






In reply to that PV Sindhu stated, “In the Navy & Army, discipline is very important. Coming here and participating in events means a lot to me. The hard work Navy personnel do, it's not an easy thing. Hard work is the key to success”.


Indian women's badminton star and two-time Olympic medalist PV Sindhu won the gold medal at the Commonwealth Games (CWG) 2022 in Birmingham.


Sindhu won the bronze medal in 2014, while Michelle clinched the gold medal the same year. The gold medal win in CWG 2022 was PV Sindhu's ninth overall win against Mitchell in 11 matches.
