Pro Kabaddi League 2023 auction: The first day of the PKL auction 2023 kicked off in some style on Monday, with a total of 39 players finding new homes in various teams. Notably, Pawan Sehrawat and Mohammadreza Shadloui made headlines by becoming the most expensive players in the history of Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) and the costliest foreign player ever in PKL, respectively. Maninder Singh and Fazel Atrachali also secured multi-crore deals during the PKL auction 2023.

This PKL 2023 edition has seen the participation of both local and international players. Among the notable foreign players are Mohammadreza Shadlou, Mohammad Esmaeil Nabibakhsh, and Fazel Atrachali. These players have been grouped into four categories: Group A, B, C, and D. Within these categories, the Kabaddi athletes are further classified as All-Rounders, Defenders, and Raiders.

Pawan Sehrawat: the Most Expensive again

Pawan Sehrawat fetched a staggering INR 2.6 Cr as he joined the Telugu Titans, while Mohammadreza Shadloui secured a contract with the Puneri Paltan for 2.35 Cr at the PKL auction. Pawan, fresh from winning the Asian Games gold medal, was expected to command a high price, and he certainly did not disappoint.

In addition to Sehrawat and Shadloui, Maninder Singh secured a substantial contract as the Bengal Warriors retained their captain. Fazel Atrachali became part of the Gujarat Giants for 1.60 Cr, and Ashu Malik remained with Dabang Delhi, securing a deal worth 96.25 lakh.
