Mbappe, one of the most admired football players, has established his dominance in the French League as well as at the international level, helping him draw attention from football fans worldwide. On Thursday (July 13), Prime Minister Narendra Modi took an opportunity to reflect on his profound relationship with France, during an engrossing speech to the Indian community in Paris.

The Indian Prime Minister discussed a variety of subjects with sincere enthusiasm, including the growing number of foreign athletes participating in India's thriving sports scene. Particularly noteworthy was PM Modi's mention of Kylian Mbappe, captain of the French national football team, who has won over a lot of Indian admirers with his rapid rise.


"French football player Kylian Mbappe is superhit among the youth in India. Mbappe is probably known to more people in India than in France," said PM Modi said while addressing the Indian community at La Seine Musicale in Paris.






PM Modi praised Kylian Mbappe's remarkable popularity among Indian youngsters during his captivating address. He also declared, “French football player KylianMbappe is a bona fide sensation among the youth in India. In fact, Mbappe’s fame and recognition here surpass even that in his homeland of France!” These sentiments were conveyed by the Prime Minister, as quoted by the Asian News International (ANI).

It is indisputable that Mbappe has captivated the attention of young Indian football fans with his expert talent, lightning-fast footwork, and inspirational on-field displays. His captivating gameplay and World Cup hat trick has made him a household name across the country, connecting with admirers all around the world.


Prime Minister Narendra Modi landed in Paris on Thursday for a two-day official visit, where he was formally greeted and Elisabeth Borne, the French Prime Minister, met him at the airport.


French PM Elisabeth Borne also tweeted, "Welcome to Paris @narendramodi. As we celebrate 25 years of our strategic partnership, let's continue to deepen cooperation between France and India for ecological transition, education and culture."


The visit of PM Modi to France coincides with the 25th anniversary of the "strategic partnership" between the two nations.
