New Delhi: Babar Azam-led Pakistan cricket team, after a brilliant outing in the recently-concluded T20 World Cup, is currently playing a three-match T20 series against Bangladesh. The Men in Green suffered a scare in the series opener to beat Bangladesh by four wickets and take a 1-0 lead in the series.

In the Pak vs Ban 1st T20I, Pakistan's senior all-rounder Shoaib Malik came out to play his 450th match in T20 cricket. The veteran could have played a good knock to make the occasion special but a big negligence made him return to the pavilion without scoring any runs.

At one point in the match, Pakistan had lost three wickets for 23 runs in 5 overs. Malik, playing his 450th T20 match, came out to bat at number four spot as he looked to steady his team's sinking ship but got run out in a bizarre manner which created a buzz on social media.

The veteran Pakistani batter tried to play a defensive stroke against Mustafizur Rahman's delivery in the sixth over of Pakistan's innings but failed to make any connection as the ball went straight to wicketkeeper Narul Hasan.

Malik just walked outside the crease without any intention of stealing a single. He had enough time to return back to the crease, simply ground his bat but he failed to do so. Wicketkeeper Hasan showcased brilliant presence of mind as he caught Malik short of the crease with a direct throw to dismantle the stumps on striker's end.

Pakistan chased down the target of 128 runs in 19.2 overs. Shadab Khan helped his team win the last-over thriller with a six. For Pakistan, Fakhar Zaman scored the maximum 34 runs and Shadab remained unbeaten on 21, Mohammad Nawaz scored 18 runs.
