Pakistan cricket team's lethal pacer Shaheen Afridi stunned his Pakistan teammate and Peshawar Zalmi captain Babar Azam in ongoing Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2023. Video of the riveting battle between two of the greatest Pakistani players of all time has been posted by PSL's official Twitter handle.

22-year-old Shaheen, after being hit for a boundary by Babar, bounced back strongly by bowling an exceptional in-swinging delivery to rattle the stumps of Pakistan captain.
Shaheen's bowling heroics (five wickets for 40 runs) helped his team Lahore Qalandars edge Peshawar Zalmi by 40 runs. Batting first, Lahore Qalandars posted a mammoth target of 242 runs. In reply, Babar's team Zalmi could score 201/9.
Before this match started, media in Pakistan had created hype about Babar Azam vs Shaheen Afridi battle. During a presser, Babar was asked to comment on his battle with Shaheen.

"Babar, you always meet everyone with a smiling face but tomorrow you face Shaheen Shah Afridi," the reporter had said before Babar interrupted.
"To ro kar milein unhein? Kya kare, nahi khele fir? Aap bataye...(Should I cry and meet him, or should I not play? Please tell me...)," Babar said in response, leaving everyone in splits.
“Whether we play against Shaheen and Lahore, the effort is always to give the best. The kind of bowler that he is and the way he is bowling presently, everyone knows that he is one of Pakistan’s best bowlers. He is improving day-by-day. Playing against him is a challenge and also gives me confidence, since I am playing the best bowler. It is difficult at times. Sometimes I dominate, sometimes he does," Babar explained.
