South Korea Reign Supreme On Day 1 Of Archery At Paris Olympics 2024

Born on June 13, 2003, Lim Sihyeon is one of the youngest archers competing at the event. South Korea has always been known to have a pedigree of world-class archers and the dominance of the Asian side has been prominent over the years. In her debut appearance at the Olympics, she now has a world record to her name.

The South Korean is currently World number 2 and is behind USA's Casey Kaughold in the rankings. Lim is already an established superstar in the sport of tennis, as she recently won a gold medal in the Yecheon 2024 Archery World Cup Stage 2, and added another gold to her tally in 2024 by winning one at the Shanghai Archery World Cup Stage 1.

2024 isn't the only year the South Korean managed to bag in gold medals, as she is the reigning champions of the Asian Games (with her winning the gold in 2022, and 2023 announced her arrival on the grand stage, when she managed to win a twin of golds at the Shanghai Archery World Cup Stage 1.

The same was at the display on Day 1 or Archery as South Korea outclassed the likes of Mexico, China, and India, who finished in the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th places respectively and their sheer dominance is just a stamp on the above-mentioned statement that they are indeed... world class!
