Paris Olympics 2024: While the Olympic Games are easily the biggest sporting tournament in the world, it seems like there could be shortcomings even in the grandest stage of competitive sports. As per a latest media report, the Indian athletes are not too happy with the limited food options available at the Olympic village.
Notably, India have sent 117 athletes to the French capital, who as per the said report by Indian Express, are staying in 30 apartments in a seven-storey block. But the biggest talking point in this report was that the Indian athletes are complaining of shortage of food.

Tanisha Crasto, for instance, has been quoted as saying that even though there was Rajma on offer for lunch, it got over before thet could actually get there. The report also says that boxer Amit Panghal had an "underwhelming lunch" and was keen on ordering daal and roti for dinner, having had a look at the food arrangements in the Olympic Games village.
Rafael Nadal, Novak Djokovic's India's Neighbours In Paris Olympic Games Village
Meanwhile, the the block in which Indian athletes are staying in Paris 2024 Olympic Games village, places them in the neighbourhood of world-class athletes like Rafael Nadal (Spain) and Novak Djokovic (Serbia). While Nadal is staying right opposite to India, Djokovic is to the Indian contingent's left. India's neighbours to their left are Italy, as per information carried in same journalistic piece.

India have already started their campaign with archery ahead of the Paris 2024 Olympics opening ceremony and remain in contention of a medal in that sport. The Paris 2024 Olympic ceremony will begin at 11 pm (Indian Standard Time) on July 26 in Central Paris in what is set to be an unprecedented opening ceremony.
