They overcame South Korea's Oh Ye Jin and Lee Wonho in the bronze medal match, marking India's second medal at these Games. This achievement also makes Manu the first Indian since independence to win two medals in a single Olympic Games. The 10m air pistol mixed team event match used a race-to-16-points format, where Korea initially led 2-0. India equalised at 2-2 and then moved ahead with a 4-2 lead. Following a timeout called by the Korean athletes, India built a lead of 8-2, but Korea came back to close the gap to 14-10. India ultimately secured the bronze with a decisive 16-10 victory in the final series.
