Dhinidhi Desinghu might not have yet set foot on the Paris soil for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games but she has already etched history. AT 14 years of age, Designhu is all set to be the India's youngest athlete in India's contingent for the forthcoming 2024 Paris Olympic Games.

Desinghu is all set to take part in the womens' 200-metre freestyle event at the Paris Games. While she is definitely the youngest in the Indian lot that will be competing in the French capital, overall too she will be second youngest Indian Olympian at the Paris La Defence Arena on July 28.

The distinction of being youngest-ever Indian Olympian is being held by Aarti Saha who competed in the 1952 Helsinki Olympic Games aged 11 years. Notably, no Indian swimmer had attained neither the A nor  the B qualification time for the Paris Games. In such a scenario, the Olympic Games Tripartite Commission named Desinghu with the help of a Universality quota. She has been named alongside the experienced Srihari Nataraj.
