New Delhi: Indian batting legend Sachin Tendulkar celebrated his 49th birthday today. The right-hander holds several batting records -- from most runs to most centuries in Test and ODI cricket. 'Master Blaster' Sachin is regarded as one of the best batters to ever walk on the face of his planet, making him one of the most respected and celebrated sports personalities all over the globe.

Sachin is currently in Maharashtra as the Mumbai Indians' mentor is helping out the franchise to bounce back from what can be seen as their worst outing in Indian Premier League (IPL) history.

On the occasion of Sachin's 49th birthday, Mumbai Indians posted a video via their official Twitter handle in which the young MI players were seen sharing their experience of an unforgettable first-ever interaction with the batting maestro Sachin.

“He inspired all of  to watch cricket.”  The boys wish & share their experience of meeting ๐—ฆ๐—ฎ๐—ฐ๐—ต๐—ถ๐—ป for the first time on his special day,” MI Paltan captioned the video.

In the video, young players like Aryan Juval, Hritik Shordeen, and Dewald Brevis talked about their favorite innings of Sachin. Some rated his 241-run knock without a cover drive against Australia the best. These young players said that Sachin encouraged the whole of India to watch cricket.

Mumbai Indians will make every effort to give the 'gift of victory' to their mentor Sachin Tendulkar on this special day. Mumbai is yet to win its first match in IPL 2022 after losing all its seven matches. Today, Mumbai will clash against Lucknow Super Giants. One good thing for Mumbai is that this match will be played at their home ground, Wankhede.
